VSA Module
Mom has a 2009 Accord LX. She hardly drives it, and it has about 20/k miles on it. The other day her dreaded VSA and triangle light and the ABS light came on. I stopped by and tried to pull any codes and found none. I tried a battery disconnect to hard reset and no change. She took it to the dealer who diagnosed the defective VSA module problem and quoted her $1300. She is on a retirement budget and cannot afford that.
I've been into Hondas for years and have done a lot of work on them for different issues. I can get a VSA/ABS module at a reasonable price. What I need to know is, can I just swap this out or will some computer magic need to be done to match it to the car or calibrate it? Also, is there a separate VSA computer box somewhere that might also need replacing or is everything in the VSA/ABS module?
Thanks!
