Transaxle Removal

I am a noob I know. I have a 1993 Accord EX 5 spd coupe. I am also some what of a good backyard mechanic. But for the life of me I am not able to remove the transaxle. I can not get it to slide back and all the bolts and everything that chilton's manual says to remove has been removed. I even tried using a pry bar but it will not move. What am I missing. Any help would be much appreciated.
