does anyone know where to buy the throttle actuator control relay?
I have looked on parts stores and ebay and cant seem to find it anywhere, ive read people finding it for 12$ but they dont say where.
Even a part number would be helpful

Try one of these two - 39794-SDA-A03 or 39794-SDA-A05. I didn't dig too far but it is a four pin relay. You might try pulling the one you have and see what numbers/MFG are printed on it.....I'll assume you tested the relay and the inputs to it?

What code/issue are you getting/having? Plus anything that might have lead up to the issue.

im doing this research for my mothers friend, i wish i had the car in front of me again

when shes driving sometimes it wont go faster than 40mph and the rpms are kinda like 2-step kickin in while driving

the throttle body has been cleaned and all connections were checked, i didnt know the throttle relay existed until after she left and i did some research

as per the codes, no CEL or anything, the car just sporadically says hey im not gonna go fast now

No code and a drivability issue....hum. Agree with "DC", the relay is not where I would be going.

Plugs are how old? Fuel trims are ??????

found a post with someone saying they had a similar problem and replaced the relay and it was fine after that, the plugs look good and the car has 150k miles on it

how do i figure out fuel trim? does that have to do with the O2 sensors or Cat? i am not familiar with fuel trim

At 150K and if they have not been changed.....I'd throw a new set in there. They are "considered" good for ~100K. On the new v6's I would change the plugs at the same time I was doing the timing belt job. Two reasons, one they are due about the same time. Second, just my opinion, easier to spin the engine around and line things up with the plugs out - not fighting compression.

Fuel trims - first you would need to do some reading about them (short/long) to understand what they are telling you. Second you would need a scan tool that can display them. And yes, I was leaning towards a lazy O2, wanted some data to prove me wrong. I the scan tool can give fuel trims it should also be able to read the data from each of the O2's (four in total, I think - 2 pre and 2 post).

Pretty sure if the relay was giving out - you'd get a code of some sorts (U0107 ?).
