Starter and Cluster lights on 04 Accord
I recently just changed the starter on my 2004 Honda Accord. After I changed it, its making a noise after the car starts up. I bought the starter at autozone and can someone help me with this and why its doing it?
Also the cluster says "NO" where the mileage is suppose it read and the rear passenger door light is on when all the doors are closed. Need Help
thank you

Re: Starter and Cluster lights on 04 Accord
Noise from the starter after the car starts is most likely the gear not retracting which is probably the starter solenoid.
I don't have any good ideas about the electrical/odometer problems but, let me ask you a question. Did you disconnect the battery before doing any work? If you didn't you shorted something and that's likely the cause of all your problems (starter included). Most likely part you shorted is the Multiplex Control Unit (integral part of the under-dash fusebox) followed by the ECM/PCM.

Ok so I have a cluster issue aswell. All my dash warning lights flicker randomly when I drive and over some time all the gauges die.... i have gone through 2 clusters and numerous electritions and i cant get an answer.. all the software from the speedo deletes itself.. so your "no" message might mean that the software maybe currupt. Try replacing the cluster...n
