Silver Star Headlights

Silver Star Headlights
I have a 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6, with the standard OEM HID lights, would it make sense to upgrade (or maybe a downgrade from what I've seen on amazon) to SilverStar Headlights?
There is a 4 star rating for the lights on amazon, but many people have complints of the lights lasting less than a year, in some cases only 4 months. Is the lighting really significantly better?
Thanks for any help

Re: Silver Star Headlights (joshwairi)
You will not see any gains in usable light switching from the OEM HID's to Silverstar Halogen bulbs. If Silverstar Makes HID replacement bulbs (which i dont think they do), that may be another story.

You probably have a 9006 for the low beam.

Whoops!!!
I have no clue where I got the HID information. Well now that this is cleared up, will I see significant imporvement from my OEM aero-composite halogen headlamps?

If you have HID's someone added them and you would probably see a downgrade going to Silverstars. However if you have the oem halogens you may see a little improvement but I wouldn't expect it to be a huge one.

Silverstar does have a little better light output but in my experience 4-6 months seems to be a fairly average life. I bought some several years ago and they both went out in less than 6 months. I went back to stock at that point and just recently switched to a 6000k HID kit.
I love the HIDs. Especially driving at night in the rain.
