Default Seat heater stopped working

The car is a 2004 EX V6 w/Leather seats.

Parents just emailed me asking to post this question up. Passenger seat heater stopped working. Drivers still works just fine. Is the passenger on a separate fuse? Other idea's?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks

the heater itself probably burnt out.. pretty common after a couple years use.

How do you replace it? Would this require tearing apart the seat?

Yes, there is a heater element under the leather. Buy the part, then take the car to a auto upholstery shop, or even a auto entertainment/security shop.

is there any way to verify this without just ripping it out? Any spots to check with an Ohm meter or something like that? I'm not the "just start replacing stuff" kinda guy. How would I verify that the switch is functional? I think the light on that stopped working a month or so ago, but the heater was still working.

Anyone know the Part #'s of the elements? Is the seat and seat back two separate heater elements?

i believe the seat heater switches are inter-changeable..if they are you can try that.
if not you can check the seat heater by disconnecting the 4 pin connector
check for continuity on the 4 pin connector.. pin 2 and 3, and 3 and 4. you should have continuity if not replace the heater.
only the driver has a seat back heater.. passenger only has a seat bottom heater.

i think you should check the fuse under that dash because they have different fuses if is not the fuse then it may be the heater
