RSX Type-S Tranny Swap
First of all. I have a 04 Accord with the K24 motor. I have hear alot of good feedback about swaping the head for the K20 head. I wanted to know. Will the K24 block mate with the RSX Type-S 6spd transmission? And if so, will it drop in on the Accod LX body?

Re: RSX Type-S Tranny Swap (Reem19130)
hm... i thought rsx-s tranny does NOT mount up to accord chasis. the tranny will mount to the block but the tranny will not mount to the accord chasis, maybe if you swap internals but not sure on that one, and its only if you already have a manual transmission accord otherwise, whooo lots of work.

Re: RSX Type-S Tranny Swap (asnstyle22)
I didn't figure it would just on the looks of both car. They clear appear to have different chassises. As for it being a lot of work. I already know. But I am patient and willing to put the effort in. I guess I will have to do a 5spd swap from a junked Accord. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

ur accord block will NOT work with a type s head unless u change out ur internals for either CRV, TSX or aftermarket rods n pistons..othewise if u keep ur stock internals and bolt on the type s head ur gonna have Piston to valve contact...u will need to convert ur car to a manual b4 u start thinkin bout puttin on a type s tranny
