Reverse not working.

Reverse not working.
Hi, new member here.
I tried to teach my teenage daughter how to drive my 2005 manual transmission (5-speed) accord (4 cyl). Things went about as well as you can expect, a little rough with the clutch, but not too bad. I thought the lesson when pretty well for a first timer. I did notice some strange "noises" when we had a few issues getting up to highway speed.
Afterwards, I drove the car to a restaurant, and to my surprise it won't go in reverse! I can force it into gear (its not easy), the backup lights will come on, but it will not move. I can stall it out before it will go.
I have driven it several miles since in all 5 forward gears with no issues, still no reverse.
Any ideas?

Re: Reverse not working.
Not by trade, but I mostly do my own work. This car has over 110,000 and has never been in a shop. My son's has 195,000 and I've fixed and/or replaced damn near everything
Kinda hoping to avoid that if at all possible. I know I'm new here but it seems like a DIY kind of board.
