remove crankshaft from 2006 Accord without removing engine?
Hello, I am getting ready to start a rebuild of my 2006 Accord 4 cyl. engine. I have heard that it is possible to remove the crankshaft and pistons without removing the engine from the vehicle. I am exploring this possibility because I do not have a lift, hoist or an engine stand. Has anyone done this or know of a video that can help me?

pistons: sure pretty much the case for any engine. with the oil pan off to access the rod bolts and the head off to push them out.
crankshaft: the way the K24 goes together it does look possible if you have an automatic (the clutch would be an issue with a manual trans) and you're able to get the flex plate to come out with it. by the time you're able to get it out though you've basically stripped the rest of the engine down to the bare block. you could just lift the block out by hand. they don't weight all that much.
