Default price for 08 coupe EX

Hey I just ordered a black 08 coupe EX 4 cyl manual transmission 3 weeks ago (upgrade from my 91 accord). I got it for 22,140 before taxes. The invoice was 21,700 or so. Anybody else buy one of these? What did you pay?

How long should it take to get it from honda after ordering it? I heard anywhere from 30 to 90 days. My dealer told me early to mid april.

Thanks!

Wow Tien, you got an awesome deal it seems. How do you get them to go below invoice? I went to 3 different dealers with competing best prices offered and no one would go below 21,825....they simply turned me away and said I should take the other deal because they couldn't go any lower. Oh well...I wonder if it is too late to bargain since i already ordered it with a deposit down and signed some sheet with the price on it.

Thanks for the input everyone...

21 and change without taxes and license is the lowest I have seen... I question he OTD statement, I don't think that is possible even for an LX

Edmunds shows the invoice price of a 2008 EX-L 2.4 5 speed as 23,340 including delivery.

They say that the price most people pay for this exact vehicle is $24,177.

For whatever that is wroth.

THanks for your input everyone

I just got word that the build date for my car is may 9th and will be at the dealer by may 14th.

I still want a lower price than 22000 perhaps down to 21500. Do you think i still have any bargaining power? Do you guys have any suggestions for getting a lower price when I go to pick up my car? Thanks for your help!

just email all the dealers in your area. i emailed for quotes from 7 or 8 different dealers, and took the best one to the dealership with the car i wanted. got the 08 accord coupe ex automatic for 22050 before taxes. that's 300 under invoice. you can definitely find deals on this car.

I guess you can always try, but I honestly think you're doing very well to get the price you're getting on a car that's brand new to the market and clearly so very popular among enthusiasts.

Plus...you've already ordered the car so they pretty much know you're hooked on it. :-)
