Default P0128 - 2005 Accord LX Sedan 2.4l

This past Thursday, my CEL came on and took it to Advance immediately for a code test. P0128 is what they gave me. I got this car with 266xxx miles on it in November 2015. I have put 15k on it as of now. Ever since I have had it, it takes the car approximately five minutes to warm up. My car is not over heating at all but the temperature gauge needle usually takes 2 minutes to move. I know the P0128 code could be between the sensor, thermostat, or alerting coolant level. It is not extremely low but towards the minimum level. Is it best to go ahead and replace the thermostat? TIA!

P0128 is cooling system malfunction. The issue is usually due to the thermostat on your year Accord. To check coolant levels, you should check the radiator too, not just the reservoir.

2005 Accord L4 are different than 2006 - 2007 Accords L4s. 2005 has a fan switch at the bottom of the radiator, 2006 - 2007 Accord L4s has the ECT Sensor 2 there instead. On 2006 - 2007 Accord L4s, P0128 can be due to the ECT sensor 2 wiring.
