Default Newbie - fluctuating idle on 'P' and inconsistent shifting

Hi - a newbie here - with an '05 4-cyl Accord 4-door EX trim, auto-trans, 114K miles on it.

Recently the car exhibit some weird behavior:
1. When I accelerate, especially abruptly or flat-footing the throttle to merge, I can sense that the engine started to run roughly and the auto-trans will go into this somewhat erratic mode. I can feel it shifting rather roughly - I can feel jerkiness carried over to the steering wheel.

2. Once the engine got into the mode above - when I stopped at a stop light or stop sign, the engine rpm while idle will be slightly above 1000 rpm - which is about 2/300 higher than normal.

3. If I put the car on 'Park' the rpm will fluctuate from sub-1000 to close to 2000 rpm as if I am revving the engine even though my foot's off the throttle.

4. Once I park, and turn off the ignition - and I re-start the car after several hours or so, all the problems will go away.

I read somewhere that tachometer is tied directly to the Ignition Control Module. Some others mentioned that I need to look at ICM (ignitor), IAC Valve, and the ECM.

I've taken the car to the dealer once - where they replace the MAP sensor per the code pulled, but I am not having high confidence with the local dealer now.

Thks and appreciate any help/pointers.

Bob
