Need Help on DTC issue
Ok, I have a UK accord (or TSX), I have a issue were my ABS/VSC light remains on, It did go out for a while and all worked fine.
This light came on not long after I jet washed along the tops of the wings and edge along by the wipers. I was carefull not to get water anywere near the engine or wiring.
The ABS/VSC light will only go out if I unplug the brake fluid level connector, but soon returns. I have checked the switch operation and it all seems fine.
I have also used a OBDII reader to try to retrive the DTC from the ECU, but looking at the circuit diagram I see they are stored in the ABS/VSA unit. Am I right in thinking that with a standard ODBII reader I will not be able to access the ABS/VSA faults codes.
any advice is welcome, shame my first post here is asking for help. Been a member of THAOC for a while and used to belong to CCUK, so find forums a very handy tool

generally the abs signal/sign is either an indication of low brake fluid, the traction control being turned off manually, a bad abs sensor, or perhaps even low brake pad material. Have you checked those obvious items?
Another thing that will make the abs light come on is a bad abs circuit fuse

Re: Need Help on DTC issue (MSchu)
Would a faulty ABS sensor not registered as a DTC, the brake fluid is fine and so is the level sensor. I really do need to know how to access the ABS DTC fault codes.
I have also checked the brake switch and all connections to the ABS sensors, So still unsure what it is

The dealership should be able to troubleshoot your vehicle efficiently. They have access to the proper scan tool and DTC troubleshooting material.
