Money Best Spent 04 V6 COUP
Ive just purchesed my 3rd Accord an 04 coup. My wife drives an 03 4dr, and mine the coup v6 6spd. Ive always had a project car in the garage and think that this coup might just be the next. I see alot of postings where people say that you really shouldn't go aftermarket on newer vehicles. As I see it what better time to throw money @ a car but, when the bolts aren't rusted and you have many years to enjoy it. I really like the feel of this car not to small and not so large it cant take a corner. I only wish she was rear-wheel drive but, that's a topic for another day.
I want to go after suspension, ground effects, rims/tires and other mods like shaved handles & badges, lighting, paint. I want to make this little beast a head turner. First things first. POWER!!!!!!!!!!
So just where should I focus the funds.
OK there's cold air, turbo (ahh.... I don't know? do I want to sacrifice throttle response?), or the meat CAMS, anything I can do for injection?, CHIPS????, headers (are they worth the money and effort), high flow cats?, 2 1/2 or maybe 3" exhaust? Just when do I need to consider the sleeves and crank for some of these mods?
I'm really up in the air. Before I go and talk to the local performance guys who might want to sell something off their shelves and I start down the road. I figure Id Best post some questions. I have enough background and tools to probably handle 90% myself.

Re: Money Best Spent 04 V6 COUP (PWRHNGRY)
Take your time and get to know the car, first. Don't assume you can do things like you could with the earlier cars.
For example, you mentioned headers and that's pretty much out of the question because the OEM exhaust manifolds are an integral part of the head. But the good news is that the motor has gobs of power in the first place, and since they're able to run on 87 octane out of the box they lend themselves well to turbo applications (but do careful research!).
There's a lot of cheap stuff you can do with the suspension.
The TL-S swaybars bolt right on, and they're very cheap. 27mm front and 20mm rear improves things with the OEM suspension and you might not want to do anything else at all.
The 17x8 +45 TL wheels fit just fine and will hold 235-45-17 tyres without any clearance issues.
The OEM HFP Suspension can be had for just $650 (or even less) from many outlets, including large volume dealers who are tired of stocking them.
