Loss of Power Steering at times

Hello everyone.....
I have a 2003 Honda accord that have owned since new that now has 189,000 miles on it and the car runs great. However I have recently noticed one morning as I was driving it I lost all power in the steering. I checked the steering fluid and it was good however it continues to happen randomly .
Any suggestion or ideas of what I can to to try and pin point what the issue is?
Thank You

Did you notice any whining when turning before experiencing the loss of power steering? My first obvious thought is that it could be the power steering pump.

It does tend to be whining a bit......I was just hoping it wasn't the rack..
Thanks for replying

If there is a whining or humming noise then it can be the O rings (that is the letter O)...very cheap to buy and simple to fix, it can get messy. I believe it is a known issue and recalls. I believe the part number for 2003 to 2007 accord 91345-RDA-A01. Good luck!
