Little black box?

Navi Little black box?
So i have Factory Navi in my 03 Accord and the screen won't light up. Problem #1. So i bought another navi console to replace it but it doesnt work. the ONLY difference is the new one is XM ready and has no black box.

Any clue what that box does and what the diffeneces are for the two 2003 navi's.
Or why the screen wont light up but everything else works fine.

There may be a warranty extension on this. I know there was an extension for my 03 (non-nav) display. It was fixed free of charge at 51k miles. Did you check with Honda on this?

I have good news and bad news. They said i have a rare car, the good news. The bad news is only one exact model navi will work for it and they dont make it any more. So the hunt is on.
And they told me about the non-navi issues, doesnt apply here
