Limp mode after changing starter...?
Hi guys. I have an 04 Honda Accord with the 2.4 auto. I recently decided to tackle a starter swap as my old one was dying on me. I managed to get the intake and manifold off the car while I swapped the starter out. I got it all back together and double checked sensors to find that the car does not run properly. It starts fine, that's the least of my worries, but the car hits limp mode at 3k rpm.
I took it to Advanced auto and they found 7 codes, most had to do with the throttle body and intake manifold. I figured resetting the ECU (pulled battery) would do it, it didn't. I then tried the idle relearn because it idles rough. No good, the car still hits 3k and shuts down. I can smell it running rich as hell, guessing that's due to the limp mode.
I'm going to take it back to the store later tonight and write down the codes and post them here. Hopefully that will help some. In the mean time, maybe one of you has a suggestion to get me running before then? I'd like to think that since I just changed the starter I don't have any real motor problems, so we can probably rule that out.
I noticed the coolant is a little low from taking off the coolant line to the TB, but didn't anticipate that being a real problem. Also the oil needs to be changed, but I doubt that's the issue here.

Go find out what the codes are first, and find out what those codes mean.
A friend of mine had the same car go into limp mode due to lack of oil pressure due to a clogged oil filter. Yes, it can happen. Changed the oil and filter and all was well again.

The TP Sensor, MAP sensor, and IAT sensor are near the throttle body and intake. Check the wiring and connectors.
Make sure you didn't incorrectly switch the 3P black connectors for the TP sensor and Map sensor. Map sensor wiring is Yel/Red, Grn/Red, and Grn/Wht. TP sensor wiring is Yel/Blu, Red/Blk, and Grn/Yel.

At the risk of redundantly repeating the same thing over and over again: If it happened immediately after you took the upper manifold off and put it back together, it probably has something to do with the way you took the upper manifold off and put it back together.
