J30 Rear Main Seal: Difficult to remove, ant tips?

I've broken 2 picks, and even tried tapping a screw into to seal without luck. Anybody have any tips or suggestions?

Drill a very small hole in the center of it, screw a screw into it and pull it out with a side cutter
