how to switch 3rd brake light bulb? :p
It's a '04 accord coupe and the 3rd brake light just went out. I looked under the trunk and the plug comes off but how do I get to the bulb? I tried twisting the socket but it wouldn't budge.
I also need to know what kind of bulb I need to buy so I can do this myself. Thanks in advance for the help.

Third brake lights are mandated by the fed for new cars only. Check in your state and see if you even need it to pass inspection. We don't need it here in TX to pass.

It's a 7440 bulb. If you ever need to look up a bulb, use this site:
