Im hoping to upgrade my 98 v6 AT to an 06 v6 6spd. I know they were only made for 2 years and read "only a few thousand examples exist"

Just how many thousand exist?

Less than 5% of the 8th gen were 6-6's... the earlier years were higher percentages.

You just have to look and most of all be patient about the process. They are there. I'm not looking for it, but every once in a while, I'll see it.

Oh....there's a 6-6 sedan. Wow...cool...

The last time I saw one as at a dealer's lot (Nissan). I think 6-6 are not view as a rare bird anymore. More like...we can't sell this thing because it's a manual trans. If it was an auto, I got 3 buyers.

Personally I find the 6-6-6 Accord a little creepy.

I like how everyone completely avoided the "how many v6 6speed 4 door accords were made" question. I know the answer but you won't like it OP. Not enough.

hahaha Thanks ShotOut. I agree. The "earlier years" were ALL COUPES! I need a sedan....AND I FOUND ONE! Buying it this week or next. Dealer is holding it for me since we've already been approved. AND CHEAP! $6,500

I'd like to have one but personally I dont like the triangle tail lights. I really like the pre facelift half-white half red JDM tail lights without the red ring around the clear part.

Good luck with it Vee, for that price I'd say good solid purchase. I recommend paying close attention to the oil level for several months to figure out if its leaking/burning oil, mine started burning oil on its 10th birthday.

the good news is that "low mileage" J series engines are worth like 500$ lol

I got to drive the car recently and am absolutely amazed.
I loved the triangle taillights on my 95 Prelude H22. So this is even better.

If you're interested in modifying the car there's not much you have to do to make alot of extra power, its very different from the older Honda engines which didnt respond to flow mods. Precat delete and a nice 3 inch exhaust adds alot of power, intake manifold and porting w/ a CAI too. IV seen people get 300WHP doing 'little' **** like that

Just because they didn't give EXACT #'s doesn't mean it wasn't helpful. One person encouraged you to keep looking because they're out there. You need to broaden the search.

Quite honestly I'm not sure how you can't find any in jacksonville.

I found an 07 v6 4dr, 06 v6 4dr, 05 v6 hybrid 4dr, 04 v6 sedan. All in the jacksonville area. Broaden your search.

I don't think anyone can provide exactly how many were made and how many were produced. It's a mass produced car, and not like an Integra Type R. People don't keep track of mass produced cars. People may think 6-6 is special, but it's really not. It's just a "production car" with manual transmission. When you talk about 320,000 Accords produced each year, it's almost like asking how Accord produced were green.

And for how many exist? The time it took me to type this, one Accord probably went to the graveyard. Not sure if it's 6-6.

Tony....Read again. I ALREADY found one. Of all those you posted, how many are a manual like I said I wanted? I dont want another automatic that fails, dont want coupe insurance prices. add something useful here please.

GoLow and MSchu...5% gives 16000,, 4% gives 12000 examples. thats a pretty slim population.

I'm answering your first question. Asking how many v6 sedans are out there and saying there hard to find is just saying your to lazy to look. Also for you to say the earlier yrs were all coupes with v6 just explains you didn't search at all. Read MY post and see that I found 04 model with a v6. Posting a question like this and making it sound like v6 sedans are rare items when indeed they're not. I'm not even sure knowing how many were made helps you find one in your area, all it took for me to find a hand full was typing in "v6 accord sedan jacksonville" and a list came up from 03 to 08.

TONY YOU ARE RUINING MY SECTION. I said this once before, I'm saying it again.

"SEDAN!" when talking about an accord, and a particular car is called "sedan" that means it has 4 doors! The 6speed wasn't offered in the 4 door until 06, so from 03-05 its not available!

If you want one, you will have to travel. My 03 6-6 coupe was a state away luckily. Find one that was well taken care of, and not just used as transportation.

I know where a 1-owner, 2006 Honda Accord EX-L Navigation sedan V6 6 speed is and it only has 71k miles!

How rare is that bird?

somewhat rare kfa. as estimated only 12,000 or so out of 320k total accords.

I work down near Orlando and that's where the 6-6 Navi sedan is. After driving the car it has become one of my favorite Honda's. I didn't even know they existed...

They're nice, and generally unwanted and also only produced for 2 year lol.

I tried finding one, but no Honda dealers in jersey had any manual accords at all. And I got this thing about buying cars from their respective marques. I'd buy a jeep from a dodge dealer but never a Toyota from a ford dealer yakno?

I still don't like the tail lights but I figured blue/black/white w/ a black color scheme and plastidip them would make it look much better.

I still wish we got the JDM head lights that orange reflector thingy is so dumb and off-putting, especially considering how nice the headlights actually are.
