The new generation Accord/Inspire is definitely one of Honda's most amazing looking cars

Agreed. I was a little bored with my 03, but current models are not disappointing.

Marketing. HID Projectors like those on the S2000 or the Acura TL would add a couple hundred dollars to the price of the car.

It's a simple marketing decision, perhaps arbitrary, that US Accord buyers are not looking for HID or projectors.

HID's should be standard on the top of the line EX L V6 accord or at least an option.

if mazda can do it to all of their GT models so can Honda.

Of course they can, but the marketing research just doesn't have HID fitting into the US Accord lineup until the next generation!

They're always doing this. The EP3 CTR had a perfectly wonderful set of HID but they were never made available because they felt that US buyers would never want to pay the premium.

Mind you, there are the same market pundits who felt that US buyers would pay $20,000 for a 160 HP Civic Hatch. I dunno, bud. Go figure.

:-)

you can always make your own

I did... acura TL Bi-xenon with rare bmw zkw lense swap w/chrysler crossfire shrouds

best part = cutoff... TL is wide & bright, zkw gives VERY sharp cutoff

I usually don't like driving around hauling giant pieces of extraneous plastic hanging off my car
