Honda Accord Navi Display Mode does not switch automatically?
I noticed my honda accord navi does not switch to night mode automatically - how can i fix it?
- I have the display brightness set to medium
- I have recycled the car ignition after I have once used the display mode button
Please help!

It sounds like you have the same Map color selected for both Night and Day.
Go into the set-up menu and select the color button and change the settings to whatever you like.
Using white for daytime and black for night will work the best.

- I think I have the setup right as for night mode I have white, dark one for night - the mode switches when i press the display button - but not automatically

I got it to work - now for others benefit here is the answer:
It has to do with the trip meter ****, the trip meter should be dimmed enough by rotating the **** anti-clockwise - then if you have the head lights on (even if auto mode) the Navi will switch to night mode automatically... this is not documented anywhere!

You mean you had all the interior lights maxed on? That kinda makes sense......
The dimmer handles the radio led's otherwise, I don't see why the navi would be any different. Good to know though you got it fixed
