Honda Accord: Broke off one of the enginer filter tabs
I wanted to save some money by replacing the engine and cabin filters myself versus having the dealership do it. After watching some youtube videos on how to do it, it seemed simple enough.
When trying to remove the rear tab holding the engine filter top, I accidentally popped it clear off. I tried to find it, but couldn't. (I did check the ground, doesn't seem like it dropped out, so it's still probably laying around somewhere in the hood...) Should I be concerned? I assume without that third bracket holding the compartment down, it won't be as air tight? =/
This is a video showing the tabs I'm talking about:
Hmm, the video was suppose to start at around the 30 second mark. That's when the tabs are shown.

Re: Honda Accord: Broke off one of the enginer filter tabs
So it definitely should be replaced? Or can I wait until the next time I take my car in? (Probably won't be until later this year or early next year.) Just wondering how big of an issue this is.
Thanks!
Thanks!
