Helm's Manual for 2003 Accord V6???
I have a 2003 Accord V6 and want to get a Helm's manual.
The Helm's website is confusing. Do I need both the "2003 Accord 2 And 4 Door L4 Service Manual" AND the "2003 Accord 2 And 4 Door V-6 Service Manual Supplement"??
I am planning on doing some things to my car this summer DIY which includes doing the brakes, tranny fluid, spark plugs, and timing belt.
I did an engine swap on my old 95 civic and feel confident working on those cars, but haven't done anything to this car, so I would feel much more confident with the Helm's manual.
Thanks!

Yes, you have to buy the service manual for all Accords, plus the V6 supplement. You can also find them here. http://www.handa-accessories.com/accord.html
The main manual covers everything the 4cylinder and V6 cars have in common, and the V6 supplement covers what's different with the V6.

Thanks, so it would be $100. More than I was hoping. Everyone seems to recommend the Helms over the Haynes, why is that? The Haynes is only $20!

The Helm book is the Honda book. It goes into much more detail. The Haynes manual is good for maintenance, and some easy repairs, but for serious troubleshooting/diagnostics, the Helm is the Honda bible. My Helm manual has paid for itself a couple times already, by saving me trips to the dealership.

Thanks again!
So for changing the timing belt and doing the brakes would I need the Helm or do you think that the Haynes is good enough?

The Haynes might be ok for those things (maintenance). But if you ever have an electrical/computer problem, you'd be better off with the Honda manual. I have a Haynes for my Chevy truck, and I changed the timing chain with it.
