Head difference 2002-2003?
Hello all. I'm trying to fix a 2003 honda accord for a freind of mine. i need to swap the head on it and was wondering if there is any other difference besides a slightly different cam lift between 2002 and 2003?
main question can i get a 2002 head and put it on the 2003?

I am assuming a 4 cylinder and the answer is no way. Different engine families.
If it is a V-6, again it will not fit, different manifolds, etc.
2003-2007 4 cylinder heads are the same HTH

Sorry.....can't believe i left that info out. it is the 3.0 V-6
And i think i was able to track down further info. It looks like 2003 they changed the exhaust manifold? I see alot of them on ebay for 97-02 but the pics aren't very good so i couldn't tell what the differences were. can anyone confirm this?
If it was just the slightly different CAM then i would do it but it sounds like there are other physical differences.

Exhaust is quite different (single exhaust port vs 3 individual ports). Head to block is different...different water jackets/ports. The 2002 head has a thermo switch that the later models do not. Again, you can go newer...just not older. The only easily item I see that is the same...still uses the 163mm head bolts.
