Default Hats off to Honda safety!

Hi, well i dont usually post in this section..or much of any section at all for that matter. BUT i do want to say i was very impressed with the crash results of this car. my sister was hit by a drunk driver going 45mph who blew a 4 way stop. this is just my hat off to honda! She walked away from this with some bruises and a little glass in the skin.

Glad she is ok
It worries me a little that the door panel got in between the airbag and her though.

Before the question is even asked. NO the front airbags should NOT go off in a side impact.

ya im not too sure how the airbag got between the door panel and door and it is a little unsafe, but the overall structure held up awesome.

I agree, thanks to the safety features I survived my very first 65 mile per hour crash.

Some douche ran a red light I swerved left popped the U-Turn curb and slammed into an underpass pole.

I was doing 5 mph over the feeder speed, maybe it was 10. Either way I JUST came off the ramp and the light was green so I was engine braking down from 75 to 65 before the crash straight to 0 when I collided with a pole. The wrecker said from the looks of impact I was only 6 inches from death

If you know for sure that the other guy was doing 45, then that's a very impressive performance, especially since the impact is at exactly the worst place it can be.

Glad she's okay.
