Everyone's favorite topic: The POS radio and aftermarket solutions
So I've been driving this 2004 Accord 4cyl 5-speed for the last year. I got it practically for free since it has a bad title, so my goal is to rack up as many miles as I can. I put 30k miles on it in a year, and can you believe I got 39mpg from NC to NJ?.
Anyway...
My CD player died just like everyone else. In fact I took it out with the intent to fix that resistor that some said dies, but I realized the how-to was for the 6 CD changer, and not the single disc. I reinstalled it and viola it worked, after 10 hours of driving it died again.
I ordered a $45 DIN unit from wal-mart, and my intent is to put it in the compartment below the stock radio. I can't stand the way the factory climate/radio replacement looks in the photos. I'm having a hard time finding a wiring harness though, all I can find is this one on ebay -> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Radio...s#ht_686wt_856
Will that suffice? Will it still allow the factor climate controls to function if I leave the other harnesses in place?
Also, any cheap install kits for that compartment? Crutchfield is $35 shipped...
Gracias
