Engine Coolant Temp Sensor Testing?
Hi ya. 04 Accord 4 cyl.
Engine malfunction lite came on yesterday. Had the code read, indicates ahhh..coolant temp below reading or something like that. Anyway dude said it was most likely the ect. Question is how can I test that? I've disconnected and reconnected the harness to make sure it is clean. And do I have to pull off the egr to get the ect off? Kinda looks like it. Does the egr require gaskets?

I believe your car has two ECTs. What was the code(s)?
Here is a thread if it turns out to be ECT 2:

Most manual;s will give you a resistance value at set temps, so you place sensor in water at x temp and measure across the terminals .
