Do I have a case?

Do I have a case?
Hi, My 2003 Honda Accord had a recall last year about a defective "Ignition switch" .I had the repair done in 11/10. Suddenly 2 days ago my key in the ignition would not turn so I had it towed to my local Honda dealer. After 2 hours they called and said my Ignition assembly was bad and they had to replace the whole thing. I figured I would be covered because of the recent fixing of the recall is still under warranty , but they said I was not since it is the whole ignition assembly. Do I have a gripe hear to have this major repair covered? How do I know it was not damaged during the recall repair? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you for your time.

Re: Do I have a case?
You really don't have a case. The two items really aren't related. Also, having replaced several ignition switches in various Hondas there really isn't any easy way or damaging the lock cylinder (which is what sounds like is bad on yours) while replacing the ignition switch.

without looking i'm pretty sure your recall you had done was for the interlock keeping the vehicle in park and having the key exit has nothing to do with the barrels or the tumblers sounds like another sidewinder lock assembly took a dump honestly a common failure on those its unfortunate they are so much money but from initial thought and knowing the recall that was done no sir you don't have a case sorry to say.
