Default Code 2647 - Rocker Arm actuator stuck on?

On a 2003 Accord EX 2.4 AT, what would a code 2647 be caused by? The car is falling on its face past 3200, something to do with the vtakz? Thanks!

Your code actually is Oil Pressure Switch, Circuit High Voltage. As previously stated by postman, replace your oil pressure switch, pretty common among Accords, CRV, and Element. The part number for you switch, if you plan on buying from the dealer, is 37250-PNE-G01. Good Luck!

I do indeed plan on getting it from the dealer. Thanks alot for the part number! The switch is on the passenger side of the cylinder head on the top correct?

Check your oil level first. Low or excessive oil levels can cause this DTC. More than half the time I see these cars come in with that symptom.

This is one the most common problem one faces with this kind of models.

The pressure switch is a small nag but the as of a whole the model is a beauty

The normal causes are low oil level or the oil pressure switch, and sometimes ECM/PCM needing the latest software update.

Try cleaning the filters.

I have a 2007 Accord Sedan EX 4cyl Auto (American made) with 61k on the odometer. I had the same problem that occured after driving my car on the highway and then the check engine light came on and the car would not rev past 2800 rpms. Went to auto zone to get the error code and it turns out it was the vtec oil pressure sensor was bad. Had to go to the dealer to get the part (auto zone didn't have the part). The dealer wanted $90 plus tax for vtec oil pressure sensor and I told him I worked at Tire Kingdom and he sold me the part for $60. Took 5 mins to install the sensor and the check engine light went off immediately and the car has driven fine since. To add to that I have changed the oil and filter every 3000 miles with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil (5W-20) and Mobil 1 filter and have checked the oil level religiously, never has consumed any measurable amount of oil. Bought the car with full service records at 31k. Is this a common problem on these cars? My 2002 Accord Sedan EX 4cyl auto made it to 145k before I sold it. Never had to replace anything on it except the front engine mount, brakes, fluids, timing belt, and drive belts. Kinda disappointed with my 2007

Do you know if you're using oil between changes? If so, how much? I've never seen a failed valve assembly.

My wife's 2004 accord has had a stutter for several months when we cruise at around 40 mph (almost like being in a high gear driving slow) and it has also been burning quite a bit of oil for about the same amount of time. This weekend the check engine light came on and we discovered the p2647 code was on. Just after getting the code read it started dying and surging whenever we accelerate. I'm thinking it could be the oil pressure switch like everyone on this thread is saying, but I'm also curious about justinsbg's comments of burning oil. Ours is definitely burning oil, is it related? Will replacing the switch fix that as well?
