Clutch not engaging when engine is running

Clutch not engaging when engine is running
I have an '06 Accord, 4-cylinder with just under 150k miles. Recently I've noticed difficulty in shifting gears when the engine is running (no trouble at all when car is off). From what I'm reading it's likely a worn our clutch disk and/or pressure pad - does this sound reasonable? Also, when I called a couple mechanics they tried to tell me it was a multi-day repair and required additional work to fluid systems in addition to the disk and pad (aka $2k+ labor) which seems excessive.
Any advice?

Re: Clutch not engaging when engine is running
Look on youtube for clutch repairs or transmission repairs in general. If you think u can do it yourself go for it. If not shop around transmissions are the same basically anyone and remove/install. Be prepared for rusty bolts etc
