Re: A/C not kicking on
have you checked the a/c pressures?
checked power to the a/c compressor??
i would check to see if the condensor has any visible damage.
was the car in a recent accident?

Anyone who can afford a 2006 Accord can also afford $57-83 for a service manual.
The compressor will not engage if the pressure in the system is too low - e.g. if all of the refrigerant has leaked out. As mentioned above, check the condenser for punctures.

Re: A/C not kicking on
if what MIKE was saying doesnt make sense, you really shouldn't be looking at the A/C system yourself. and the helms manual's first steps are going to be exactly what MIKE said for you to do. i would seriously suggest taking this to a reputable shop and letting them take care of it....

Could be a bad switch or connection in the HVAC controls. My AC was supposedly bad but there were no leaks or anything. I switched out my HVAC control for another one a couple years ago and my AC has been working fine ever since.

Re: A/C not kicking on
ok I'll play have you added fluro dye to the system to track the leak ? Add 1oz of r134a compatible dye to the system and recharge and then look for the dye with the fluro dye light. Good luck

Don't expect everyone to feel that they are obligated to help you - a more humble attitude and a will to learn can take you much further. Obviously you don't know as much as you think you do, otherwise you'd have solved the problem by now.
There are so many details to air conditioning that I could sit here and write a 20 paragraph article on everything involved, but I'm not going to do that because it would take forever and my time is valuable to me right now. I am willing to answer any questions you may have, as long as you're willing to help us to help you.
