a/c & heating problem
Hi......In my Honda accord 2004, when A/C put on heat comes out of passenger side and A/C out my side I have dual control. What could it be before I hit the mechanic?

The "two post" question....I have no idea what you are asking......so back to the car.
"Sounds like the air mix motor" for the pass side. These HVAC units have a "self test" mode you can do....if it finds an issue it will give you a code telling you the issue.
If you need the "how to" on running the self test let me know...or look in the FAQ for it. Not here that much so it might be a bit before I respond....just have to be upfront about that.....hey, at least you are getting cold air

Re: a/c & heating problem
Thanks so much for some info..... yes would appreciate the "How to" for the self test you mentioned so I can try it. before I get to a mechanic and he gives me BS just to make money...... Oh and I thought to as you said, that at least I am getting cold air but in reality I am getting 50% cool/AC from my side and passengers other 50% is hot so one is balancing out other just making it level in temp...not cool or too hot...
Have a good day and tks again!

Do you have the dual HVAC - meaning you car set the temp on the drivers side different than the pass side? Need to know so the correct procedure can be given to check for codes.
