Background:

Last summer, car diagnosed with leaky compressor.
Put small can of R134 in and the A/C worked for the summer.
Year later, tried to put another small can of R134 in and the gas came right out of the condensor. It had been damaged after 90k of highway driving. A/C controls worked normally during recharge. The A/C system produced cold air before all the gas leaked out.
Took car to a shop and had the condenser replaced.

Here is where the fun started. After the condenser was put in the A/C controls were reversed. On is Off and Off is On. Shop said A/C control panel had gone bad. I thought they screwed it up.

Took the car to a dealer for a second opinion. They confirmed A/C controls are bad. Said the repair shop did not cause the problem. $1,200 for repair. And they reminded me the compressor is still leaking.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any and all help is appreciated.
