Broken Airbox Base Mount Question
I was in the process of replacing my air filter today and one of the mounts holding the thread for the bolt on the base of the airbox cracked. Being split the screw/bolt now just spins along with what was originally kept secure by the plastic from the box base.
First of all the last time this was replaced (1 year ago) it was done at dealership. Now my thoughts are they either overtightened the screw or just bad luck on my part with the plastic cracking. I doubt there is much recourse on my part to get them to fix it for free. So I was curious if anyone knows if the airbox base is part of any of the warranties.
Lastly I was wondering anyone knows how expensive they are and hard to replace and if I can just do a patch up job with some industrial glue or some other way to secure the plastic housing.
Thanks.
