Hi all. Can anyone recommend a tranny shop in Greater Vancouver (BC) with a proven track record of working on Accords? I'm looking at a few Gen7 V6 Accords and am thinking I would pay a top transmission shop to test drive the car before I purchase - just in case they pick up on something I miss (early warning signs, etc).

Keep in mind that early Generation 7 Accords have had transmission issues. Pretty much unfixable transmission issues that have resulted in recalls and class action law suits. I would stay away from the early versions unless you want to get hit with a $3000 transmission repair.

Even if you have a transmission shop test drive your vehicle, they are not prophets. There is no guarantee that the next month, week or day the transmission will fail on you. All they can do or anyone can do is check the fluid, and test drive it for any CURRENT problems. If there are even the slightest signs of poor fluid or improper shifting, I would reject the vehicle.
