Hi guys, I posted a question in the Honda/Acura SUV forum but I've received no replies. My friend's 2003 Acura MDX is throwing a code P0172 and P0175 and is idling a bit rough and the dealership tells him that after two techs looked at it they say its a valve adjustment that needs to be done. I beg to differ on the matter b/c I've seem tonnes of Hondas and Acuras go well past 100, 000kms without a hitch. His MDX has just gone past the 100, 000km mileage and when its idling despite it being rough has the same level of valvetrain noise as any other Honda 3.5 V6.

I searched the net for quite some time to not really find what the cause of these 2 MIL codes except for the TSB listed below.

Can someone in the accord forum shed some light on this matter? I am not sure what component "engine and engine cooling" refer to....

i couldnt find the TSB for what ur talking about but the 2 codes u are gettin are

DTC P0172: Rear Bank (Bank 1) Fuel System Too Rich
DTC P0175: Front Bank (Bank 2) Fuel System Too Rich
