Default anyone here own a current gen accord?

I plan on either buying or leasing a current gen 4 cylinder Accord. Does anyone here own a current gen accord? Is it a nice ride? I hear there is a lot of wind noise. Also, does it get better mpg then the EPA estimates?

My 10 Accord V6 is still too new to est MPG, but my 06 I4 EX generally gets a few MPG less than EPA numbers, unless it's all hwy for example.

Nice ride, like it's a good car, or nice ride like a Buick? It's a bit more stiff with more noise than a Toyota Camry. Make sure you get the EX or higher with ANC. I have read people have been disappointed with the lower LX models.

If you like a bit more feel, control, and see a bit of road noise as part of the driving experience, than Accord is for you.

I've always been a fan of the Honda Sccord. My first car was a 1994 Honda Accord LX 5 speed. My current car is a 2009 Mazda 3 with the 2 liter engine. It sucks. LOL. I have the automatic model though. That's probably why the acceleration sucks. W want a car with a bigger engine, such as the current gen accord.

ive got an 09 v6. to be honest i dont have much to complain abouit. alot of people complain a lot about wind noise but I dont. it gets right at 32mpg on the hwy. it is stiff but ive also got a coupe. i had a 99 and own an 06 as well and the 99 i did not feel confident in if i had to make a quick move. the 06 and especially the 09 i feel more than confident. ill take a little stiffer ride to know that I can make sudden moves and the car respond.

Bigger engine (over your 2.0) does not mean much when the car is 3300lbs (I4).

If you want a bit more zip in the current gen Accord, V6 is the way to go.

I assume you are talking about a sedan. 100% of all the inventory (sedan) in all the dealerships in my city are auto. So it may be a hard find.

my mom has an 07 2.4 sonata and it accelerates much better than my mazda 3.

i only want the sedan. i plan on buying a used one though. most of the sedans i have seen are only automatics. i think i would rather have the auto anyway. my budget is $18,000, so i can only afford a current gen 4 cylinder model. i have seen some V6's under $18,000 from the previous gen.

I've had a 2010 EX-L 4 cyl. for about a month now. I like it. Like all Hondas, it has a bit of tire noise at highway speeds but it seems less than the previous Accords I've owned (1994 and 2000) and probably a little less than the 2005 Acura TL I owned. My wife says just turn up the radio So far I am getting about 28mpg in a mix of highway and city driving. I do have a light right foot. For me, it is a great blend of comfort, spaciousness and reasonable price. The only thing I don't like is the remote start. If you are considering the Honda installed remote start, know that it is programmed so that the car engine stops as soon as you unlock any doors and the remote trunk release will not work. This is done for liability reasons, but makes it pretty much useless for me.

My 09 is an auto. Ive got a 5spd 94 and a 6 spd 06. sometimes I am lazy so i went ahead and got an auto.

here is my advice. buy what you want. if you like the 03-07 then find one that you like so you can get the bigger motor and nicer options if that is what you want.

i just got a 2010 LX-S coupe and i previously had 07 SE I4 sedan and 03 LX I4 sedan.

i love the coupe in particular, it's hard to believe it's still an accord.

It sits low and wide, somehow honda managed to tune the handling and balance so the CG feels like it's behind you esp in higher speed turns. It's brilliant.
