I'm thinking about having our 06 Accord V6 6speed sedan tinted and was looking at using Llumar ATR which is a metallic film. I however was worried about losing AM reception. The shop told me they could do ATR on the sides and ATC which is the non metallic one on the rear glass if I wanted. Would that fix it or should I go with a non metallic all around? Not sure if I would be happy with a 35% in the rear and 50% up front as I like my 20% with 5% over it in the rear and 5% in the front of my truck. After getting a ticket though and me going to have to remove the front tint I want to keep this car legal.

I haven't had any luck with metallic tint. The antennas are in the glass, so unless the tint manufacturer has come up with a new trick, I'd avoid it. You'll screw up your AM and FM.

I think I about decided not to do it. I just do not think I would be happy at all with a 35% as I don't like the factory tint on vehicles much at all and it's supposed to be a 15-20%. I don't like how you can see in it fairly easy and I didn't like my 35% at all on my truck so I decided while it would look better I wouldn't like having 35% and 50% up front so no point in me paying for something I wont like.
