Input shaft bearing 04 v6 6speed
Hello. I have a 2004 v6 6 speed manual coupe and it makes knocking noises once in a while. I'm guessing its the input shaft bearing because I can only hear the noise during idle with pedal disengaged and clutch engaged. Its a knocking noise that can be heard pretty noticeably. It only happens sometimes though.
Ive driven 10k miles with the knocking with no problem and no leaks whatsoever.
I now what to replace the bearing. Anyone in San Francisco or bay area in California want to do the job for a good price ? PM me if you're willing.
Or should I ever replace it???
Thanks

forreal lemme hear this when you're in the neighborhood haha.. never heard of one of the transmission/clutch bearings making a knocking noise. and usually those aren't intermittent, it'll be present 100% of the time lol

Yep. I know its weird. I know for sure its not the motor and I know for sure its not the throwout bearing. So that's all I could think of. I can hear the "knocking" noise from underneath the tranny
