Default Accord Radio Problem (Already Have Code)

Hey I am new here and I've searched for a similar thread, but haven't come across anything.

I have a 2004 Accord (non navi) and basically what happened was the same old radio lock problem where if the battery is disconnected then I would need to put in a code to unlock the radio. I had the code and I input it, but I got the ERR-1 message, ERR-2 message, and so on. I even went to my mechanic who then called Honda and they gave my mechanic the existing code I already had, so naturally that didn't work either.

I tried the removal of fuses method and even went to the extent of taking off the center console in order to remove the antenna (because I read somewhere that it may be the issue) then tried the code but still nothing. I had no problems with the radio before the battery was disconnected so this seems very odd.

Another odd thing I thought I'd mention is that when I hold 1 and 6 + press power, in order to display my serial number....I then press "2" and the radio will work for about 2 to 3 minutes then shut off again. & I can repeat this as much as possible.

If anyone knows what could be the problem, I'd appreciate it very much.
