Accord 2012 SE
Hello, I just bought a new Accord 2012 SE here in Toronto, Canada. The car has nice features such as power seats and Bluetooth and rides smooth but after a week of driving it I am beginning to think I should have gone for a higher trim since the SE model lacks features like a trip computer and outside temperature gauge that I am really used to enjoying on my other car. Also I did not do much research before buying the car, just walked into a dealership and loved the looks and made an offer, but now I am reading reviews of the car having road noise and I am getting worried my car may start having these problems, do you guys think I should just go back and trade it in for an EX-L considering 2-3K loss?
P.S. the performance is really poor on gas mileage

No you shouldn't trade it in. Trip computers and outside temperature gauges are so insignificant...
The poor gas mileage is because the engine is still getting broken in.
Keep it.
All cars have road noise. It is more noticable than other cars like toyotas but it shouldn't change much. Unless you put on noisy tires or something.
I have a 2009 accord EX-L with 80,000 miles on it. (almost 130,000km) It still rides smooth and is quiet. Just take care of it and you should be fine.
Do your research next time before you buy.

This car sucks big time, I just calculated the gas mileage, it uses 14 liters per 100 kms which is 16 MPG. I feel so stupid buying it, because even a 5 Series BMW has better MPG

That sounds like something is wrong.
It's got a warranty on it, take it in to the dealer...
Like I said, it's probably because the engine is still getting broken in, but it doesn't hurt to go to the dealer.

Hello Salaamq, I think the break in process is already finished since the car was a sales rep. demo with 10K miles on it when I bought it, it must be something else.

Hello, fidelito1. I agree with the others. If your 2012 Accord is only getting 16mpg, then there has to be something else going on in the engine/exhaust system that's causing you to lose your economy. You should be getting at least 22-24mpg in the city, if not higher.

Ok, with that much mileage, something sounds wrong. If you just bought it, the dealer should fix it for you, it didn't show up when you test drove it.
My accord started to have brake squeaks 1 week after I bought it. I took it to the dealer and they changed all 4 brake pads and 2 rotors for $100.
The dealer should help you out. If they want to charge you, act unsatisfied and they should give you what you want.

Re: Accord 2012 SE
For the past 2 months when driving a low speed 20 to 30 mph 1,500 to 2,000 rpm the car hesitates and shakes a little bit and i have to accelerate to stop the hesitation and shaking.
When I accelerate on the highway it goes quickly to 50 and 60 mph, but when it shifts to 4th or fifth speed instead of picking more speed, it slow down and the transmission feels like it shifted to D3 and i have to accelerate more to get it shift to the high speed shift. Ever since this started the RPM suddenly goes up and down not matching the acceleration or speed.
I complained to the Honda dealer in Paramus, NJ at the start of this year (2017) that the car's RPM going down hill were way too high versus speed.
My warranty expired in September.
My mechanic told me that he felt the hesitation and recommended to change the gas brand. Another mechanic told me to change the engine oil to 0-20, Thus far the problem remains.
I am hesitant about taking it to the dealer because they always want to rip you off.
Anybody has a suggestion?
