yeah would work just fine its the same weight 5w but it works at a different temp range if I am correct I though I did the same thing to my old honda fit I felt the differences it might have been mental. If anything you might get less gas mileage but you probably will not notice. From what I understand Honda switch to 5w-20 because of improved gas mileage and better and tighter clearance in engine specs. If you have a choice stick with 5w-20 and buy it at WalMart. FYI the Honda insight runs 0w-20?

Many new(2010) Hondas use 0-20 it is becoming the standard.

5w20 GTX is fine to use on your car as well.
Once again if you really want to learn more about oils and oil filters I'd check out http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/

Check out that site and read through their forums. I've learned a ton more then I thought I would about oil.

suggestion. then do not buy oil at costco unless u live in India and that's all they have for oil supply. hit up a local store. walmart or parts authority. and look for specials for cases. good luck.
