no start key won't come out
hi guys I'm new here and need some help..
so i have a 2007 Honda Accord ((automatic))
the car was running with no problem and started up just fine but the transmission was slipping
So I installed a new one well a used one
I did the job my self. I'm a full time mechanic so verything came out good
it just took me 2 weekends to get the job done at home and on the floor smh...
so when I try starting the car the car won't turn over at all and the key gets stuck inside
I need to remove one of my battery terminals to get the key out
Note.. the key does open and closes all doors and trunk but the key gets stuck and the car won't turn over not even the starter turns over ( note the starter (( is working)) I jumps it and it turn)
I rechecked my work and verything is good on my end....
i try resetting the key but it won't turn back to zero (0)
note the order 0, I, II, II-(start)
All the lights work, the lights on the dash, brake lights, power windows, locks, sun roof everything is working!
The immobalizer green key light on the dash comes on when I turn the key on and then go's off along with the common other lights
any ideas??

Re: no start key won't come out
Check the connector, wiring, and terminals at the Transmission Range Switch.
Currently, the Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) probably detects that the Shift Lever is out of Park (P), after which the MICU provides voltage to the Key Interlock Solenoid. The solenoid is then energized, which prevents the Ignition Switch from being turned to LOCK (0).

Re: no start key won't come out
Thanks for the help tech8
so I got the car running 😉
This is what I did maybe this could help others
I removed the front driver side wheel and removed the neutral swith cover and then the switch.
I left it plugged but removed it from the shaft and then turned the key and got the car started.
I then reinstalled the switch and tried a number of time turning on and off the car and removing the key.
And no problem at all..
i test drove the car and the transmission shift good in all gears 😉👍
(note)---- when I use to turn the the key on the little
(green key) on the dash would turn on and then go off
indicating the key was in good working order
if your key is flashing, blinks or stays on you have other issues
