2012 Accord SE Wheel Bearings

I had the front passenger side changed out last year and was not happy with work so I just said fudge it, I'll do the driver's side myself. So I've finally gotten around to changing out my ridiculously noisy front driver's side wheel bearing and the inner race looks horrible. The scoring goes about halfway through the inner race. I still gotta take out the snap ring, press out the rest of the bearing and press the new one in.

I know I've driven through at least 2 intersections with a flooded gutter with who knows what kind of foul NYC liquid but any ideas on what else might cause this severe scoring of the inner race? Ball joints, alignment, and brakes seem fine, no shaking and the car has 100K on it.

I suspect water/debris intrusion washed out the bearing and that is the result. Ive change out dozens and dozens of those Accord bearings and they all looked like that.

Yup, It's gotta be debris that was eating away at the metal but it's weird how the damage is almost exactly 50 % of the inner race. Check out that gnarly damage below. I'm surprised the wheel didn't explode on me.

Got a fresh Timken bearing in there and it's like driving a different car, much smoother and doesn't sound like a turbine generator. I'm thinking of replacing the passenger side bearing too. The shop where I got it replaced, mangled the dust shield and put on an uncoated caliper (apparently the threads were busted, aka they broke the old one) which is now a nice rusty brown.

I looked at the old bearing more closely and found no markings to indicate the branding. Do the original Honda bearings come with any markings?
