My car has been having issues recently, sometimes when i start it it will either barely make it pr not start at all. It also revs around 1000 to 1500rpm while just sitting in park, as im trying to drive home it will accelerate on its own and it feels like its jumpy. I got the codes checked and there were 2 codes, p0341 and p1009. Now I've been trying to do some research on these codes and everything I'm seeing is "stretched timing chain". The car only has 75k miles on it so I feel as if that's not a lot of miles to have timing chain issues, but then again I'm not a mechanic so I wouldn't know. I am wondering if I change the camshaft position sensor, will these issues stop. The battery, alternator, and starter were all tested and no issues reported there. Brining the car to a mechanic is something I will do, but I would like to know as much about this issue as I can. The sensor seems easy enough to fix myself, but will it help. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated.
