2008 Subwoofer
I am thinking about replacing the sub in the rear deck lid with a bigger one. I like the bass but am looking for something a little louder. Just wondering what some of you think might be a good idea for replacement or just adding another sub in the trunk. a little custom work is not a big deal. I have an extra 10 laying in the garage. That might fit back there with a little work. Or maybe just picking up a nicer 8 inch and replacing the stock with that? Thanks

I wouldn't bother replacing the subs as it'll rattles the rear deck. It'll get annoying
Also, I'm in the process of buying the Mazdaspeed 3 and just wondering why did you got rid of 2 of yours??
I test drove the 2008 Accord V6 -6 speed and it's pretty quick. I'm going to test drive the Mazdaspeed 3 this friday and probably will buy it since it's cheaper than the accord.

The Speed was my nice weather car. But since it was not driven all the time, I felt the need to upgrade to something a lot nicer. I got bored with it too. I was hoping to tune the hell out of the car, however trying to get the most out of the car seems to be a task considering no one can break the ecu code for ecu flashes and i am unwilling to wait for that time to come. They both are great cars. Way on the other end of the spectrum of course. But great cars none the less. Plus the payments are the same

How do you like the accord compare to the speed3? Are they the same performance level as each other or do you miss the power of the speed3?
Also, did you have any interior rattle problem with the 2 MS3? I had nothing but bad luck with honda & interiors rattling. (2006 Civic & 2006 Accord LX)
I hope the MS3 doesn't rattles.

Re: (kroze)
to upgrade the sub you may and most likely need more power to the sub in which you just might as well install that 10" with a nice box/amp and use that sub hole as a port into the cabin...thats what i did on my 08 sedan...GL.

Re: (K20DC2R)
The cars are completely different of each other, so the performance level is totally different. Frankly i dont miss it one bit. Yeah the car had some power, but i really didnt take advantage of it. I will sacrifice alittle performance for style any day of the week.
I had couple little rattles with mine. But nothing to bad. I figured out where they were coming from and took care of it myself. The honda on the other hand. ZERO issues. That accord is so quit inside. My civic with 52000miles had no rattles either. Nothing but good thing to say about them. I am driving a 94 del sol with 165000 miles and the car is far from rattle free but DAMN that thing is still kicking strong. 36 miles per gallon STILL!!!!

I was almost thinking about tossing in one of those infiniti basslink systems. Like a bazooka system. Speaker and amp built in. Keeps the wires down and simply install. Just need to sell the all the subs i have in the garage. The subs are too big to install in this car.

In a Junkyard near you.
I know it may sound like a stupid question but you are aware the subwoofer can be turned up in the audio settings?
You can install an amplifier on full gain with a new subwoofer and use the subwoofer gain on the head unit to control it if you aren't happy with it that way.

Are you sure it's blown? Those cars have bad rear shelf rattle problems. The ones I've fixed for a loose vibration damper sound like a bad speaker.

Re: 2009 Subwoofer
unfortunately the sub that is stock is an oval shape. The only replacement sub will be required to modify the hat shelf. Or just add in another sub with the exisiting stock sub. Ill probably add an bazooka style sub to the car.
