2008 accord v6 6speed revving too high
I got a 2008 accord v6 6speed and i was driving the other day and I was going about 80mph and the rpms were at 3000 rpms on 6th gear. i was going on flat ground and it just didnt go down at all, i was goin 60mph and it was just under the 2500 marker. Can some one please tell me if this is ok cause i been seeing it at like 27500 at 80mph. Can you guys let me know at what rpms you guys get on for this car at 6th gear and at 60 or 80.

Rest assured... the RPM's can be nothing but correct unless your clutch is slipping. in Which case you would feel it at nearly any speed. Do you feel the clutch slipping anywhere else?

Thanks No slip at all, the clutch is nice. it has 1100 miles on it right now. do you know what the right rpm's at a certain speed in 6th should be?

Not off the top of my head. we had this same discussion a while back and everyone with OEM tires were precisely the same... I do think it was 2900 for 80mph in sixth gear, but that is from memory

The circumference of your rim/tire combination DIRECTLY effects the speedometer accuracy
