2008 Accord rear end problems
Bought this car in March and now it sounds as though the rear end is falling out....jumpy and grinding noises. At first I thought I had a flat tire, but it wasnt that. Jumpy at 70 then as I slow down it makes the grinding noises. Thinking a rear end alignment problem or unbalanced tires...but the grinding is what has me confused...any ideas?

Re: 2008 Accord rear end problems
grinding noises are probably a parking brake left on... or your rear pads are gone. the rear pads on those cars are on the thin side when new, so they tend to wear out quickly... and there is vehicle stabilization so if you are driving like a idiot, they will wear even faster.
the twitchy feeling is an alignment issue or tire stagger issue. get an full alignment and trying running your rear pressures slightly lower than your fronts. this usually will quite the chassis down a bit.

Cool... the break isnt on, but it could very well be pads. Its time for oil change/rotation/balance anyways so I might as well throw an alignment in there as well. I have a 95 and know that like the back of my hand...the new Accord will take me alittle time. Thanks for the advice!
