Hello,

I've had my 2007 Honda Accord for 18 months now. No problems, until my engine started to chirp. It's louder when the A/C is on, so I've been driving without the A/C. The car seems to only chirp when the car is idling, so at red lights I shift to neutral, and it goes away.

From the advice I've gotten so far, it's most likely a problem with the belt. The belt seems fine to my untrained eye, no cracks or chunks missing. The belt's tension seems fine. It goes in about half an inch when I apply pressure to it.

I've heard on similar threads that it could be a problem with some pulley or tensioner, but it's most likely the belt. I've heard that replacing the serpentine belt is easy and inexpensive, so that's what I plan on doing.

Any advice??

Can anyone lead me to a great resource to doing this for the first time? Like a video, or a step by step guide? Thanks!
